Okay, this is the entry that I'm posting to help some new members out if they don't know what to do and stuff.
You have to put your applications and pictures under an LJ cut. If you don't know how to make an LJ cut, it's rather simple and I'm here to teach you. When you click update journal and everything finishes it's loading process, you should see the normal screen and text box where you type your entries in. If you scroll down you will see some text <B>right underneath</B> the text box you are typing in. It says, (HTML okay; by default, newlines will be auto-formatted to <br> - or, use the rich text mode.) Click on where it says rich text. Once you click on that your screen will reload (note: if you typed anything so far it will be deleted so make sure to copy what you typed or don't type anything.) After the screen reloads you will see a bunch of new icons on the top. There will be an icon towards the right side that looks like (...). If you click on that it will give you a box that comes up and that will be your LJ cut. In the space provided, type whatever you would like your LJ cut (which will be your new link) to say. Then some HTML and codes will appear on the page. Type whatever you want underneath all that HTML stuff and that is your LJ cut. If you are still confused you can comment on my journal, http://www.livejournal.com/users/my_secret_love.
Now I'm going to talk about pictures. If you already have pictures saved on your computer you can upload them onto a supporting website. I highly recommend www.photobucket.com. Go to the website and create an account because you will need to make an album. Once your account has been verified and created, you can start adding your own pictures into your albums. When you are about to add a picture there should be a box on top that says add picture and next to the given space a link should say browse. Click on that link and it will bring you to My Pictures or whatever program stores your pictures. Click on the picture you want to upload and then click upload and it will do just that. Congratulations, your picture has just been turned into a useable, friendly link. You can take this link and paste it into an updated post or behind an LJ cut (I recommend the LJ cut.) Once you paste the link, the picture should come up and you should be able to resize it. If not, many scanner programs are able to resize pictures and so is www.photobucket.com. If you do not have pictures saved into your computer, all you need to do is scan them into my pictures or whatever program holds your pictures and then follow the directions I just gave.
If there's any more questions, comments, problems, etc., just comment away. I'm here for you along with our other stamped members.
And by the way, I'm having someone work on promotion banners, accepted banners, and rejected banners, so I will have those out soon. Until then, no one can be accepted or rejected, but they can be voted on. And when you promote, unfortunately we have no banners yet, but there will be soon, so just promote in words for now. If anyone would like to come up with some banners that would be fantastic. Also, if you would like to be a moderator of this community, please tell me because I'm looking for some right now.
